How to be Born into the Kingdom of God

By Bishop R. C. Lawson

Jesus says:  I am the way, the truth, and the life:  no man cometh to the Father,  but by me.   St. John 14:6

Much is being said these days about the way to be Born into the Kingdom of God.  Some say: 1) Join the church and shake hands with the preacher and others say 2) Do the best you can, live a good moral life, and you will be saved in the end.

What does God’s Word teach us about being Born into the Kingdom of God?

St. John 3:5 says:  Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

Dear ones take the Word of God as your guide.  There never were any “Christians” until Jesus was crucified, buried, resurrected, went to heaven, and came back in the Spirit.  St. John 14:17; Acts 2:3

The word “Christian” means Christ within, and the only way He can get into men is by the Holy Spirit, for God is a Spirit, and to be born of God you will speak in other tongues just as they did on the day of Pentecost.  Acts 2:4, 10:44-48; 19:5,6

There are three that bear witness in earth: the Spirit, the water and the blood.  1st John 5:8  Also, His Spirit beareth witness to our spirit that we are the children of God.  Romans 8:16

When you turn your back upon sin, you die with Jesus.  And when you go down into water, you are buried with Him, and when you rise out of the watery grave, you are a new creation in Christ; and you should receive, the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues.  Dear ones takes heed to the Word of God.  The value of your soul requires your earnest search of the New Testament.

What is Salvation?

If any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. Romans 8:9  So when the Spirit of Christ comes in, He will bear witness and will speak through you in other tongues.  This is salvation.  Anything short of that is not what Jesus came to do.  He came to baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire.  Matthew 3:11

In every nation there are witnesses of this truth.  You may say that I am “unChristianizing” everyone that does not speak in other tongues, and that you have seen the blessings of God rest on men and women who have never spoken in other tongues.  Well, let us take a look at God’s Word and see what it says.  Blessings are good, but God has given us light on His Word in these days.

The Word of God says, “These signs shall follow them that believe; ….they shall speak with new tongues…” Mark 16:17

Also, hear what Peter said, “Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38

The only way to get into the church of Jesus Christ (or to be born again) is to be baptized into the body by water and Spirit.  For His body is the church of which He is the head.  1 Corinthians 12:13  This is the only way that God has made for man to get from the earth to heaven, for this is what Jesus came to do.  To put His Spirit into men so that they could worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

When did the Church of the First Born Believers come into existence?

On Pentecost day.  Speaking of Pentecost, Jesus had said to his disciples: “At that day ye shall know that I am in the Father and ye in me (in Christ, in his body which is the church), and I in you.” John 14:20

How do we enter into the Church or Body of Christ?

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body (the church) whether we be Jew or Gentile, bond or free.  1 Corinthians 12:13

To whom did Christ Jesus give the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven?

Christ gave the keys to Peter saying, “Thou art Peter…and I will give unto you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven…”  Matthew 16:18,19  Peter opened the church to every nation, racial and ethnic group–Jews on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2), Gentiles at Caesarea (Acts 10 and 11 chapters) and to the mixed nationalities at Samaria (Acts 8).  The Book of Acts is the true instructive medium into the Church of Jesus Christ, and to be a member of the church, which is the body of Christ. See 1 Corinthians 12:13

Who opened the door of the Church to the Jews?

Peter: But Peter standing up with the eleven (other Apostles) said, “Ye men of Judea, repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission (removal) of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”  Acts 2:14,38

How did the Jews come into the Church?

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave utterance.  Acts 2:4

Who opened the door to the Church to the Samaritans?

Peter:  Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John. Acts 8:14

How did the Samaritans come into the Church?

When Peter and John came down to Samaria, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:14,15

Who opened the door of the Church to the Gentiles?

Peter: The angels said to Cornelius, “Send for one Simon, whose surname is Peter, who shall tell thee words whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.”  Acts. 11:13,14

How did the Gentiles come into the Church?

While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Spirit fell on them, which heard the word and on the Gentiles was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit, for they heard them speak with tongues.  Acts 10:44-46
